“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper
time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:9
In our fast-paced, on-demand culture, we expect immediate
results. If a ministry initiative doesn't yield instant fruit, or if a prayer
isn't answered by Tuesday, we assume God is ignoring us or that we have failed.
We suffer from the fatigue of delayed gratification.
Agriculture operates strictly on the laws of patience and
timing. A farmer understands that a seed must undergo a season of hiddenness.
It must die in the dark, cold soil before it ever breaches the surface. You
cannot shout at a seed to grow faster. The delay is not a denial; it is a
biological necessity.
You may be in a season where your hard work seems buried in
obscurity. Trust the soil of God’s timing.
- Competence:
Understanding the spiritual laws of sowing and reaping, and the necessity
of dormant seasons.
- Character:
Cultivating patience and trust, learning to encourage yourself in
the Lord while working in obscurity.
- Commitment:
The endurance to keep watering the ground even when the results remain entirely
invisible.
- Consciousness:
Awakening to the deep rhythm of creation, resting completely in the
sovereign timing of the Master Gardener.
