stand against the devil’s schemes.” - Ephesians 6:11
We often misdiagnose the source of our conflicts. We think
our battle is against a difficult colleague, a stubborn congregation, or a political
system. Because we misidentify the enemy, we use the wrong weapons—arguments,
manipulation, or anger—and find ourselves exhausted and defeated.
Military strategists know that battles are rarely won by
sheer force alone; they are won through superior intelligence, preparation, and
utilizing the right arsenal. Spiritually, we are engaged in a sophisticated,
unseen conflict. Putting on the armor of God is not a metaphor; it is our daily
strategic preparation. Furthermore, because of the cross, we do not fight for
victory; we fight from a position of established victory.
Do not be distracted by the physical manifestations of
spiritual warfare. Energise your spirit with prayer and take your stand.
- Competence:
Recognizing the reality of the spiritual realm and understanding the
tactical function of the Word of God.
- Character:
Developing the vigilance, discipline, and moral fortitude required of a
spiritual leader.
- Commitment:
Standing firm in the ranks, refusing to surrender territory when opposed.
- Consciousness:
A heightened awareness of the Holy Spirit’s leading, enabling you to see
beyond the physical and act with divine authority.
